Hello you lovely people,
and welcome back to my blog! If you're new to my blog then hello, I hope you'll have a good time on here and that you will stick around. But for now let's get into today's blog post.
Today I wanted to cover a few trends in the fashion and makeup industry, that are going around at the moment and are especially in for this summer season.
The 90's have started a come back this year with their fashion trends as well as their makeup. Denim was probably the most worn material in the 90's and so it has become a massive trend over the past months for this SS season. If you were a fan of the "Mom jeans" then you will be very happy indeed, to hear that this style of jeans have taken over a large amount of the jean varieties in shops. Along with those came denim dresses and skirts, which are a must have for this summer. You can choose from fitted to baggy, dark blue to light wash, buttoned all the way down to no buttons at all and more things, so everyone's taste is covered.
For shoes it's all about the "Espadrilles" for this summer. They are so comfortable, easy to chuck on and look really stylish. You can definitely get really creative here, as there are so many different styles of this type of shoe around, from ethnic patterns to rose gold and silver, glittery ones and even flag prints. But if you happen to have your pair of silver shoes (like Birkenstock's or the ones that I showed in my last fashion trend post last year: The A-line skirt) then don't hesitate to get them out of your cupboard and on your feet, they still are a massive trend!
With the fashion trends came the makeup trends just strolling into the shops. Brown, and earthy toned eyeshadows, bronzed, neutral tones and brown lipsticks are essentials to create a 90's inspired makeup look for this year. The makeup industry didn't fail with the variety of brown tones available on the market, seeing as not every brown suits everybody. For that reason you can choose from so many different browns that you might be a bit overwhelmed. But if you find the right undertones that suit you the best, then your journey finding a few shades will be a whole lot easier, whether it being lipstick or eyeshadow. Again you can get so creative with the shades, if you want to wear orange on your eyelids then this is the best time to do so! In addition to brown lips becoming a massive trend the matte lips have taken over the glossy finish of lipsticks, that's where liquid lipsticks come in extremely handy, as you can find so many different shades of browns with an integrated matte finish that will last for hours.
That's going to be it for my trend chatting today, I hope you enjoyed it and that I could help you out if you were searching for some inspiration. If you did enjoy it then I'd love you to leave me a comment telling me what your favourite trend is and some other ones that I didn't cover up yet. Please share this post over on your social medias and don't forget to come back next Sunday for a new blog post!
