Urban Decay Naked Smoky | thegoodway

Hello everybody,

and welcome back to my blog! Today's post is going to be about one of the very famous Urban Decay Naked palettes. So grab yourself a cuppa, get comfy and enjoy!

The Naked Smoky Palette is Urban Decay's most recent (I say recent, but it has been around for quite a while now) addition to their oh so popular Naked range. They are very well know for this range, and everyone loves it for good reasons. All of their products are from such high quality, they are pigmented, easy to blend and offer amazing colours.

While all of the other Naked palettes are divided in warm toned, cool toned and pink toned is this palette a mixture of warm and cool tones. A very unique aspect to this palette is that it has the most matte shades then any other of their big Naked palettes, but it also includes eyeshadows with a more satin finish as well as some shimmery ones. Regardless of the finish they all don't lack in terms of pigmentation and blend like a dream, they are creamy and go on so smoothly that you barely have to do anything at all.

Although the name itself already says that this palette is perfect for creating a smoky eye, I honestly think it is so versatile. You can definitely create extremely natural looks as well as dark and sultry smoky eyes with it.

My personal two favourite shades:

"Combust" is the perfect transition shade for every eye look or a perfect all over the lid shade if you don't want to go all out.

"Dirtysweet" is such a unique shade, not like your typical gold shade, when you put it on it has this dark yellow undertone, which comes threw so well and you barely need to dip your brush into the shade, it's that pigmented!

The brush that comes with the palette, actually is really nice, I think it's definitely the best one out of all of the ones they included in their palettes. A really good blending brush on one side and a very handy pencil brush on the other, which you can use to smoke out your lower lash line or your upper lash line to give it more definition or a blended eyeliner effect.

To sum it up, I have to say that I am blown away by the high quality of this palette, they definitely didn't mess up. Highly pigmented (I just can't say it often enough!), creamy texture and super easy to blend, what do you want more? I would very much recommend this palette to everyone out there, whether you're a makeup lover or addict, or you want something that offers you a good variety of shades with amazing quality.

That's going to be it for today, I do hope that you enjoyed it, if you did then please don't forget to share this post over on your social medias! I'd also love to know your thoughts on this palette, so don't hesitate to leave me those in the comments down below. You can also say hello over on my social medias, or if you want to tell me anything in more detail then you can send me an email.
