The Goodway Book Club: Christmas Edition ❅Blogmas Day 1❅
Hello, my beautiful friends,
and a warm welcome to Blogmas Day ❅1❅! *Christmas song playing in the background* I can't believe we're already into December and that Christmas is approaching us! Like where did this year go? I don't even know, but I'm very excited for this December as I'm going to try my best in doing Blogmas to the fullest! It's crazy to think that I have to start getting all the presents for my friends and family now especially with school being on my tail. To calm myself down I like to take some me time and get myself a good book so I can zone out of reality for a few hours and enjoy the story. So if you'd like to know which books I'm gonna have in my hands for the next couple of weeks then grab yourself a hot chocolate, get all cosy and keep on reading!
I know I haven't done a post about TheGoodway book club for quite a while and I really did miss it, but as I mentioned already, school is being very stressful at the moment which means that I haven't had and still don't have a lot of time to read anything else than school books... (very exciting woho). But it's even more important to read something different during such busy times than any other time, as you need to give your brain a little break every now and then to make sure you can relax to the fullest.
1. A Girl's Best Friend - Lindsey Kelk
For our first Christmas book, I have chosen another instalment of the beautiful books of one of my favourite authours! I have absolutely fallen in love with Lindsey Kelk's writing, thanks to the book club I have gotten to know her books and I couldn't be gladder! This very book was very kindly given to me by chummy, my best friend Zoe, last Christmas. Yes, I know I'm very bad for still haven't read it, but that's a plus side for you as I'm sharing this beauty with you now.
After the crazy six months she's had, if there was a 'clear history' button for your life, Tess Brookes would be the first in line to press it.
So when the opportunity arises to join her best friend, Amy, in New York for Christmas, Tess jumps at the chance. The only slight hitch is that Nick, the man who broke her heart, lives there. And Charlie, the man she turned down, has just started talking to her again. And she has just four days to take a photo for a competition that could save her career.
But aside from that, everything is going to be great: it'll be the best Christmas ever. Won't it?
This sounds like a perfect Holiday read to me! I would love to spend Christmas time in New York some time in my life and even better with my best friend, so what can go wrong with this book? Exactly, nothing! So if you're interested in reading this book then make sure to keep me up to date during reading time!

2. Twelve Days of Christmas - Trisha Ashley
For our second book I have chosen one of the classic topics, or at least that's how I would describe it, as I know that there are so many books out which are called "Twelve Days of Christmas". But this one in particular by Trish Ashley has caught my eye due to its beautiful design. Trish Ashley is a Sunday Times Bestselling author, who was born in St. Helens, Lancashire, UK.
The festive season has always been a sad time for young widow Holly Brown, so when she's asked to look after a remote house on the Lancashire moors, it's the perfect excuse to forget about the festivities.
The owner of the house, Jude Martland, is also avoiding Christmas since the last one saw his brother run off with his fiancée. But forced to return home unexpectedly, Jude arrives to find that his family are running amok - with Holly seemingly at the centre of it all.
As the blizzards descend, there is no escape. With nowhere to go, Holly and Jude get much more than they bargained for and it soon looks like the twelve days of Christmas are going to be very interesting indeed!
This sounds like one of those books that fill your Holiday season with lots of laughter whilst sipping on a hot cup of tea or hot chocolate. I can't wait to start reading this book!

Thanks for the suggestions! I have a few long haul flights in December, so I will definitely be on the lookout for something to read, and what better than something festive to get in the mood?
