The Goodway Book Club Christmas Edition: A Girl's Best Friend ❅Blogmas Day 20❅
Hello my shining stars,
and welcome back to Blogmas day ❅20❅! *Christmas song playing in the background* I do hope that everyone's doing fine and that all of you are in the most festive spirit ever! Come on, it's only five days until Christmas from today, eeeeeeeek, I'm so excited! Anyways, I'm rambling, what's new, but without further ado, just grab yourself a hot chocolate, get all cosy and please keep on reading!
Tess Brookes had it all. A well-payed job, amazing friends, two men who were in love with her and that all whilst visiting two amazing countries like Hawaii and Milan.
Now Tess has landed back on planet earth and is punched in the face by reality. Made redundant, living in her best friends Amy's flat with Amy's roommates, following a dream that turns out to be harder to achieve than initially planned, as in working for a complete arsehole, and haven't heard anything in months from the two lovely men, Charlie and Nick. All whilst her best friend is making a career herself in the one and only New York City.
When everything seems to be at its worst, Tess packs her bags and books a last-minute flight to NYC, to join her best friend Amy and Kekipi for his approaching wedding. And who wouldn't want to spend Christmas in one of the most magical cities in the world? Once Tess stepped out into the world and got a taste of the New York lifestyle, she decides to make many changes all at once. And it wouldn't be a proper Lindsey Kelk book and all classy and clumsy Tess, if there weren't Nick who lives in the same city, and them hilariously bumping into each other.
Despite all the tough times Tess has had, she still regains her strength and positivism and gathers everything she has together and fights for her dreams. With her friends supporting her she finds herself rather successful and happy again! And then let's not forget about Nick, and Charlies of course. What's going to happen to them? Who is Tess going to choose?
Honestly I bloody LOVE Lindsey Kelk! I love the way she writes and her overall humor in general. I love the fact that you can just relate to all of the characters in her books and you really feel like you you're part of the story whilst reading it! There's no god-now-it's-getting-boring moment in her books whatsoever, you will only find yourself laughing out loud over tragically hilarious things, which have happened to us all!
If there is still someone you need a gift for for this Christmas, then I can assure you that this book is your friend! It's amazing in every possible way and I know that everyone's going to love it just as much as I did!
And that's it for my review of our first Christmas book of The Goodway Book Club - Christmas Edition! Let me know your thoughts on this book in the comments down below, I'd love to read them and to know how you liked it! Also make sure to come back in the next couple of days to read my second review!
